Happy Sunday!

"Whatever you do work at it with all of your heart, as if working for the Lord not for men."
Colossians 3:23

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Matthew 11:28-30

These are all pictures of the work that's been happening at the ranch reservoir (lake). Rocks have been picked up from the desert field behind the res. and used to secure fences around animals and as rip rap around the 'island' and steep sides of the lake.

This is the 'boat ramp' it will be lined on both side with boulders to retain it's shape. If you know the 'lake' the water inlet (water fall) is just on the right side of this picture.

The top on the shallow end has been widened A LOT and here's a nice spot for a motor-home to go camping with a view of the water fall and soon to be 'Carefree Cove' the swimming hole.

Picture looking from the deep end into the shallow ~ island with rip rap.

Here's a closer up pic of the island with the rocks lining it. Thanks to Uncle Rod who has been bustin' his rump moving rocks for 2 weeks. The sloped part will be where you run the kayaks up onto the island.

Here's the picture looking from the shallow end into the deep end.
It is really deep down there maybe 15 feet, about 6-7 feet deep everywhere else.

The lake is on the right and on the left is the section of the hay field that was sloped so steeply it could never produce hay ~ you can see where Bobby has started the trench where the tire from the pivot runs. About 4 feet of soil has been removed and maybe another 2 feet to go. Yesterday we decided we'll have to sacrifice 3 trees to allow for access around the entire lake, but plan to plant more on the outside of the rim --especially over by the r.v. sites.

So, here's 'Carefree Cove' our soon to be sandy bottom swimming hole.
We're going to put a curve in the wall where the kids are walking to make it more interesting.
It will be supported my boulders and it will be the shallow play area for kids and anybody wanting to cool off. Water will flow out through 3 pipes into the big lake on the other side. The water-fall runs into this little pond and it will have terraced sitting areas around it under the trees.

" Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart."
"An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips." Proverbs

"Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit." Psalm 32:1

We are to forgive as the father has forgiven us.

Dylan got in trouble for throwing mud and rocks at his brother and sisters. He felt bad....but was enjoying himself just the same --then he wasn't so sure when he and his daddy started plunking rocks near each other splashing.

"For the word of the Lord is right and true, he is faithful in al he does. The Lord loves righteousness and justice, the earth is full of his unfailing love. Psalm 33:4-5
